Allergy Testing
At Wave Health we place a huge emphasis on preventative medicine and as such we are now offering this test to all our patients to allow you to investigate for yourself which foods are best avoided now to prevent intolerences in the future and to feel happy and healthy in the mean time.
Food allergies and sensitivites have been linked as a causitive factor in many common complaints in both adults and children. Children are particularly sensitive to foods as their digestive and immune systems are still being developed, which makes this test very useful for treating any child whether they are demonstraiting signs of food sensitivity or not.
Some common complaints which have been linked to food sensitivities include:
- Eczema, Dermatities, Psoriasis
- Depression, Anxiety, Mood Swings, Aggression, ADD/ADHD, Autism,
- Unexplained weight loss or weight gain, inability to lose weight regardless of diet and exercise changes,
- Holding weight aroung the abdomen or thighs, fluid retention
- Abdominal bloating or discomfort, excessive gas, stomach cramps, diarrhoea, constipation, nausea, IBS,
- Asthma, chronic or recurrant infections, excessive mucous production, irritating and persistant coughs, sinusitis,
- Candida infections - thrush, jock itch, tinea,
- Any other unexplained persistant conditions or symptoms resistant to previous treatment
Foods included in the test:
There are three levels of testing that you can choose from. The below tables include a list of foods that are included in each of these three levels.
Level One - 5 Food Sensativity Profile:
This test is appropriate for people which minor allergies and suspect a sensativity to wheat, dairy, soy, nuts and/or fish. The limitations of this test would include people with nut sensativities who may wish to know which of the four nuts tested they are reactive to as the test is for the combination of the below listed nuts only, not the individuals. The same limitations stand for the white fish mix.

(Cod, Haddock, Palice)
|

Level Two - 40 Food Sensativity Profile:
This test is appropriate for people with mild to moderate allergies and those individuals who wish to get a more comprehensive test of individual grains, nuts and seeds, fruits and vegetables, dairy and eggs and meat products. Limitations of this test again includes the nut mix which tests for the below mentioned combination of nuts rather than the individual. The same limitations stand for the white fish mix, legume bean mix, shellfish mix and the fruit and vegetable mixes.

This test is very comprehensive and includes a full range of individual foods from grains, dairy, meat, nuts and seeds, legumes, fruit, vegetables, herbs, spices and more. Upon completion of this test you will have a very good understanding of exactly which foods and food groups are beneficial and which are not. This test eliminates food mixes as seen in previous tests and actually tests the individual foods for a more complete understanding of what exactly the body is reacting to.
